Village Gateway
This beautiful little lane is our gateway into the South Downs National Park. Less than one minute from your cabin door.
South Heighton is spectacularly lucky to have an English village hideaway feel whilst having all the luxuries of town and city amenities.
Hampden Arms Public House
Our village is very lucky to have a proper old village local pub. Back in the day pubs like this were vilified as ‘old mans pub’s or a bit ‘spit & sawdust.
These little local hostelries are now like ‘hens teeth’. Very rare, we are lucky to have one in our village. It used to be normal for every village to have an Ale House but not anymore.
The Hampden is strictly a little watering hole unencumbered with gastro pub kitchen fare.
But the locals are friendly and the prices are good.
Friston Forest
An expansive beech woodland in the South Downs National Park. It is the largest area of recently established forest in South East England. It has awesome walking and cycling trails and beautiful views of Cuckmere and the South Downs
